And just to clarify there is no such thing as a credit blacklist. Creditor check you on a number of factors such a electoral roll etc when deciding whether to lend.

exactly the debt after 6 years wont be enforced by a court so in effect it has gone if you get a letter years down the line bin it, and to be honest they have nice fresh debts to go after the debt buyers will go after them long before a debt which is older than six years if you aint paid in 6 years why waste man power on it .as also stated your credit file is clear of most bad debt after 6 years ie cj etc .

All this said you can't just stop paying and ignore the letters for 6 years. You run the risk of CCJs, bailiffs, charging orders etc, possibly even forced bankruptcy so if you're thinking that it'll be easy to hide for 6 years until they become statute barred it really isn't a good idea.
