Title Deeds after remortgage?

We've just completed our first remortgage so forgive me if this is a daft q but its all new to me.
I assumed when we remortgaged our old lender would pass the Deeds to our new lender but I've just had a letter from the old lender asking if I want the Deeds sending to me or a solicitor. Am I supposed to then forward to my new lender or do I keep then

Deed are largely irrelevant now as long as the property is registered with the land registry. When I bought my house 5 years ago, the deeds were sent to me pretty much straight away and I have kept them ever since.

thanks Beanie .I was sort of hoping the bank would want them (to keep them safe
) Maybe I'll give them a call to see what they want me to do with them 0
