Battery Toothbrush and Refills on Reduction

Is the Colgate Actibrush on way out? I think so. Spotted Actibrush refills in both Boots and Superdrug. Superdrug is storewide 50% off at £1.75, Boots is £1.24 but selected stores and also have the brush unit at 50%. Does this mean Actibrush is being replaced with the disposable 1xAA 'Microsonic' brush or more expensive models.
Boots also have their own brand 'Smile' adult refills at 50% as well as some places the brush unit at 50%. One hand not knowing what the other is doing? Is this one on the way out?
Boots also clearing Oral B 400/X-Action brush units.

I bought a few packets if the Actibrush heads in Boots a few days ago, they were marked as £1.00 a pack but came up as 50p a pack. I then took them over to the toothbrush section and worked out that they have exactly the same fitting as the heads for the new motion brush. So in the end I bought a new Colgate Motion Brush for £3.60 (or there abouts) and four refill heads for £1.00. It is worth knowing that all the Colgate refills seem to fit onto any colgate brush so get down to boots a fill up before they are all gone.
The only thing worth noteing is that the actibrush heads have the single round brush whilst the newer motion brush heads have a more tradtional brush.0 -
