i'm really sorry, i didnt think there was any interest in my post so i havent checked it and i feel really guilty now.

I joined the Isle of Wight Credit Union, it is also refered to as Isle save.

I just googled credit unions and this seems to be a site to locate if you have a credit union in your area, the isle of wight one came up on it but i have not used this site before. It has loads of info on how they work.
