They say:
That sounds like utter rubbish to me.In terms of CCA copy document regulations, the 'true' copy requirement can be satisfied by providing a copy agreement at the date the card agreement was made and providing that plus a copy of the current terms of the card agreement.
If I alleged you had a credit agreement with me, and when you asked for proof I sent you a blank agreement and a copy of my current terms of an agreement would you accept that as proof that a real agreement was ever signed and that I had a copy?
I wouldn't think so.
That letter appears to be BS as they probably don't have a copy of the original agreement.
EDIT: Was going to say ask on CAG, but you already have.;)Free/impartial debt advice: National Debtline | StepChange Debt Charity | Find your local CAB

What would you suggest i do next to get this default removed?0

Not sure about gettin a default removed , If a signed copy of a CCA is not produced the debt does not go away ,it means it maybe unenforceable .0
-
but they cant prove debt and have never issued a default notice so how can they put it there.
Surely there is a proccedure to follow when companies hand these out.
Cheers0 -
do you think the follow up letter would be applicable the one after 12+2+30?
Just a idea but i'm probally wrong0 -
Cann,t do any harm . Try TS as well.0

I have to admit that loans and mortgages are my bag and not credit card agreements. However, the first thing that struck me is that the lender has provided you with a document and the final statement. They state that if you contact them they will advise you how much they will charge you to provide the rest.
Simply SARN them with £10 requesting all Statements, a copy of the agreement and all correspondence relating to the account including any default notices.
The lender is duty bound to provide this documentation within 40 days.
The chances are that there will be overcharges on the account, which you can challenge.I am a former Broker, former IFA and former compliance officer, for my sins.
However, I have since seen the light.0
