Help with Boots order .......

Not sure of this is the right place but figured someone might be able to help.

My Boots order said I should get it by Sept 1st (Today) so checked online & it says delievered at Business Express website. The time given is roughly 12 midday on Tuesday this week when I was out. I have asked neighbours but no-one has took a parcel in for me, although one of them (Who I do trust!) said she was across road at someone else's house when she saw a man leave a brown box outside my front door, when she came back across here with the intention to get it for me it had gone. Now I'm presuming this is my Boots order. I've emailed Boots but so far had no reply, surely they would not leave a £180 order on my doorstep like that? When I ordered it said online that a signature would be required but no-one has signed for this.

Any ideas what I should do next?

Thanks

Yvonne

At christmas they left my order for over £100 in my kids playhouse, so it is possible that it was just left. It may be worth phoning boots in this case as they will probably reply quicker that way than by e-mail.

    Good luck.

Not at all surprised that they left it on your doorstep! I would call them immediately and complain that you haven't received it - I thought these items needed to be signed for?
You don't get medals for sitting in the trenches.
  • Sorry to confirm also...... My order was just dumped over the side fence a while ago ...... contact Boots ASAP
  • they certainly take advantage if they can to save coming back to drop off again...my delivery man/woman comes around 7.30 to 8.00am...he or she never ring the bell and just post the card through the door to mention its in my bin cupboard....only lucky my house entrance is on the side so he can get away with leaving it!! think it does make boots a bit vunerable to drop orders without a signature...then they are so trusting!!
  • I have just rung them today about a similar situation - in the past my boots orders have been left in my back garden with no card through the door to say so and not always where I would notice out of the window on returning so potentially would have been out overnight or I could have been away for all they knew.
I ordered some things last week and found a box upside down in my back garden on Tues that looked like it had been literally lobbed over my fence! It said box 1of 2 but there was no other box then I got an email yesyerday saying my order had been dispatched but the tracking number said it had all been delivered on Tues. I rang Boots today to be told that there was still a box at the depot and they couldn't understand why they hadn't been delivered together but they often did that. I did complain about them leaving them but they weren't interested. I just worry that it would be my word against theirs if anything was stolen - it really isn't good enough for such a big company to do that and I've had stuff from M&S with the same courier where the same has happened......

Business Express are rubbish. I've had Boots orders left on the doorstep on more than one occasion. Once I had one go missing and eventually found out they'd given it to the builders at the house next to me!! They said they'd given it to a random woman who was walking past and claimed to know me; well she got a nice £80 freebie didn't she icon13.gif

Email boots to complain. They will resend the parcel and if you complain you'll probably get some vouchers or free boots points for your trouble.

  • Ok update. Just phoned them after no reponce to my email & they have said someone has signed for it with a squiggle (seriously!) so they are looking into it & will get back to me.

It's too late for the parcel to be resent really as it was a present for a friend who's birthday is tomorrow so I'm going out later to chose something else. Will see what they have to say when they phone back later today.
