Hi everyone,
I have some bits in my store cupboard that I want to try and use this mont to cut down on the food bill. I am hoping you are able to help:
What to do with Puff Pastry once I have defrosted and used enough for 2 small pie lids? Apart from Vol Au Vents - I would like to do something not too sweet as we are trying to lose weight too.
I have tinned fruit I suppose I could do something with that and the puff pastry?
I also have cheese straws, taco shells (we don't particularly like tacos) Quinoa, and a whole pack of ground rice.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated - if it has to be asweet stuff - I suppose I could always take it to work
Thanks

If you've any sausages/sausagemeat you could make some sausage rolls, cook them and freeze them for when you're not trying to lose weight!! I don't think puff pastry and losing weight go together:D !0

You could cut out some more pie lids, bake them and freeze them until you want to make pies again.Or make a flan with puff pastry base and tinned fruit on top-you could thicken the fruit syrup with cornflour or arrowroot to make a glaze.0
