Mortgage Nearly Paid Up!

In 3 months I will have cleared our mortgage (13 years early).

I am now spending my 'pondering time' thinking about what to do to make best use of my money. Our regular mortgage payments were about £400 a month (excludung the bigger chunks we used to lob off the term). So I am now thinking about using this money to make money!

What are my best options? Bonds? More Savings?

Cheers

Ps. I am planning to blow a months payments on the celebrations as well! Ideas?

    My rule of three !
1 fill your cash ISA each year thats £300/month x2 if OH ?
2 pension cos the nice government gives me my tax back 20% or 40%
3 spend the rest on things you want but have put off because you have
been to busy clearing the mortgage. New car, long holiday , new hobbies etc
    well done and GOOD LUCK

Thanks Everyone for the kind words!

The final payment happens to fall on the day I go and see Morrissey in Hyde Park. That will be celebration enough, so I might bring it forward a month and pay it off in early June. I want to go in the Building Society, pay it off and then hit the town!

Congratulation on nearly paying off your mortgage. 13 years that is great.

I would have a go at Match Betting £400 would be a nice start, I made £1200 in two months so a good investment and risk free.
