Unethical 2nd Income?

Hi guy & gals,
I'm begining to find my feet around here, and thought I'd ask you opinion on something.
Part of my job used to be writing CV's for a living. I have recently been approached by a recruitment company that I used to work with asking me if I would be willing to source leads for them.
Basically what they want me to do is find jobs on the internet that other recruitment agencies are advertising and then write out a "perfect" CV for the job and submit it. Obviously the other agency then rings me back and sets up and interview and hey-presto I now have a hot lead that my new employers could follow up and then take the work on themselves.
On one hand I see it as a bit of an unethical for them to get business, but on the other I need the money (and its good money at £6 per lead) and am not sure I can afford to have too many principles until I clear my debts. Plus its something I can easily do.
What do you think?

I'd have no qualms. Recruitment agencies, and i have worked with loads, as a customer for recruitment services: are a pretty unscrupulous bunch, who make estate agents look virtuous.
On top of your 6 quid. I'd ask for up to 5% of the commission (normally a sum , the equivalent of the first months salary) for any leads of yours they succesfully place being as you are going to have to do the leg work, and pretend to be different people, and so on, every time you submit.
So six quid compared to the £800, to £5000 the agency will get seems quite low.0 -
I'd say go for it, I've worked for agencies for years and been ripped off.Life is about give and take, if you can't give why should you take?0

Thanks for the response.
I will go back to them today. Great idea about the 5%
on top. I will definately ask for that too.
In their initial email to me the did say they were after lead sourcers (plural) so if they are after anyone else too I will post it on this thread if there are others willing to do it to.0 -
Well I spoke to the branch manager and suggested £6 per lead plus 5% comission on any jobs they fill from my leads and he knocked me down to 3% which I accepted. It will still mean £75-£100 extra on any thing they fill so thats seems good to me.
Thanks you very much to Ian because I would have never thought of the comission angle on my own.
He is looking for 1 other person so if anyone else is onterested then PM me (I'm presuming we can PM here) and I'll give you the contact details.0
