I would really like to buy my son (nearly 4) a Thomas the tank engine play table, he has lots of trains and little cars and some track - but no table.
I have just looked on the ELC site and just the table alone is £200 - and eBay is no cheaper really.
Does anyone have any ideas eg know of a firm that makes similar?
Thanks for any replies.

john lewis do some, sometimes these are in their sale, but think they are still normally around 200 pounds
argos does one too, but it comes with lots of trains and track - however it's probably laminate rather than wood, so would chip wuite easily
how about getting him a coffee table, and gluing/screwing the track to it yourself - or if you want it removeable, adding a lip around the edge. that way it wont cost so much, and he can help you to decorate it how he wants.0 -

Have you considered the one that ELC do for £70 which is the same size but plain. You could always decorate with him with suitable Thomas stickers. I think £200 is a bit steep but they do hold their value on Ebay once he has finished with it.0 -
get a plain wooden coffee table (ikea?) and nail or glue some wood around the edges to stop things falling off, paint or varnish, decorate the legs with thomas stickers then varnish over the stickers.Member no.1 of the 'I'm not in a clique' group :rotfl:
