  • Did you work out your mortgage free date with the online calculators?

No need for me, I just took the opening balance off the annual statement and did a roiugh estimate based on how mucg I am overpaying, but for loans further out, the calculator is best

At the moment, my excel spreadsheet says that the end of June 2008 will do it

:j Thanks very much, have just used the link and found out that even paying just an extra £10 per month, will reduce my mortgage time by 8 months. Am definately gonna do that.

  • Woohoo wooohooo- Thanks everyone. It keeps me upbeat when I'm denying myself stuff I would normally overspent on - now I get praise on here instead!!!
Do you know though, a day after I've decided not to buy something I had my eye on, 9 times out of ten I can't remember what it was I wanted to buy!!!
I got myself a bargain in a charity shop yesterday and saved myself about £30 on a pair of curtains, exact right colour and size! i only bought them and stardrops!!!
  • At the risk of puffing myself us again - I made a typing error - I paid in £81 not £61 - I had an extra £20 from book sales on Amazon!
