Hey every one,
Aaah dear, my friend has decided that for her birthday tomo she wants to go out dressed as a cow-girl  therefore, we all have to dress up as a cow-girl
Cant say i'm overly excited about this....to say the least!!!
Luckily, i have a pair of cow girl boots (dont ask, they were an impulse buy last year!!!!).
Anyways, i'm a bit worried because
1.i have no money to go buying bits for it and
2.they will all going dressed all sexy like cow-girls but i'm too self conscious (and normal!!) to be wearing short denim skirts etc
Any ideas on what i can do to look like a cow-girl without spending lots of money? I can just about afford a cow-girl hat from Claires if they have any.
But what else can i?! I will be driving so i wont be spending money on alcohol. but i havnt been out in so long that i do want to make an effort for my friends.
Any help appreciated!!

I gave up jogging for my health when my thighs kept rubbing together and setting fire to my knickers

What about a jeans with a white shirt, then on the very tips of the collar (the pointy bits) colour in a little triangle with a fabric pen or something that'll come off, cowboys/girls always seem to have little silver tips on the collar, like this.
Get a shoe lace or a bit of ribbon to make one of those shoe string tie things like this
I'm the same as you, I'm a bit self concious for the denim skirts etc.0 -
I love the idea of the shoe lace or ribbon, i think i have some pink ribbon at home, i'm sure i can find something to thread it through in my box of bits and bobs!:starmod: :staradmin :starmod:I gave up jogging for my health when my thighs kept rubbing together and setting fire to my knickers:starmod: :staradmin :starmod:0

how about borrowing a checky shirt from dad, boyf, or brother and tieing a knot in it. I think jeans and cowboy boots will look great. cowboy hat is an essential and how about a bandana? International (dont know if you have one of those, they sell mostly house stuff but also do jewellry) they have bandanas 2 for £1 or you could just use a triangle of material. Woolworts do cowboy/sherriff badges in packs for kids party's which are reasonably cheap, or you could make your own sheriff badge with card, tin foil and a safety pin, use the end of the pin to !!!!!! holes in the badge to spell out sheriff (check the spelling first though) also may i suggest plaited pigtails. have a great night out0

Well i had a great night!!
I got a cheap red glittery (v tacky!!) cow-boy hat from Claires
Made a sheriff badge on my comp!
Got a water-pistol/gun (made sure it was obviously a toy!! brightly coloured!!) from woolworths for £2!
Wore my hair in pigtails
Cow-girl boots
Jeans and a white shirt!
Great fun! But i was right about my friends, all turned up in tiny little skirts and shirts tied up round the tummy wide open!:starmod: :staradmin :starmod:I gave up jogging for my health when my thighs kept rubbing together and setting fire to my knickers:starmod: :staradmin :starmod:0
