Please help- laptop won't connect to wireless internet..

Right, so it's just your wireless connection

While you're plugged in via wires, can you access your router setup page?

http://192.168.0.1 should take you to it.

Once there, ensure your wireless part of the router is switched on and set up WEP encryption (hopefully it should generate a key that you will also have to enter into your wireless settings on the laptop)

*** the network tab on the laptop has now brought up the other two pc names, albeit it can't acces them..it's an improvement though! ***

SSID- default
WEP- enable 64 bit

I have clicked the wirelss tab, then configure under security and got the key 1 number (did this earlier with mate too) is there anything else i need to look at specifically?

Change SSID from default and use WPA-PSK encryption.

all the wireless setup bit is beyond me, I never use it, just know where to find it if I need to
