Our local Whittards seem to have a permanent sales, bit like DFS. Has anyone else noticed this?

I am sure Whittards breaks all the rules on sale stock. I bought 4 tumblers for £4, labelled clearance stock. The next time I went to the store, the tumblers were £6 "reduced from £12" said the sign. They did the same with crockery. Who puts their sale prices up???0

Visited Whittards at the Clarks Village in Street yesterday and their shelves were empty! Literally nothing to buy, let alone a good bargain. The assistant told me that they were having supplier problems.
I wanted some large latte-style mugs for the office and was disappointed.Do not allow the risk of failure to stop you trying!0
