Working Overtime While Being Bankrupt

I just had a thought, every so often my employer asks me to work on and do overtime or cover another whole 8 hour shift, which could sometimes mean I earn an extra lets say £50 a week, but not on a regular basis odviously, its only every so often and not gauranteed.
So would I need to declare this to my OR, or is it too small an amount to worry about?
If so it kinda makes doing overtime useless doesn't it?

if its irregular overtime, and it not guaranteed, then OR won't be interested.
If, it changes to be once week, then they will be.0 -
ask for time off in lieu, the OR cant touch that0

The OR wasnt interested in occasional OT, but if I did it every fortnight he said he would do, My OH takes it as time in lieu like maxmycardagin put.
If you get on ok with your boss, ask if you could do that.
Good Luck
