Stained work surface

Yesterday a leaking freezer block left a small but luminous blue stain on my white kitchen work surface. No gentle methods worked, so I tried neat bleach. I now have a much larger pale yellow stain. The surface is not tough; I know from experience that I can't use anything abrasive, as that turns it from matte to very shiny, so an OS remedy would be ideal.
Has anyone ever tried using whitening toothpaste on a stain like this, or is that bonkers? Can you suggest anything I might try? I've done bio washing liquid without success.
Doing a test piece won't be easy, as the stain is of course smack in the middle where the light hits it. Pretty much where I'd like to hit my husband.
It's going to be so annoying that I'll have to cover it somehow, but not before exhausting all your suggestions.

Stardrops, babywipes, lemon juice...
As the bleach kinda worked maybe it will fade in time...I THINK is a whole sentence, not a replacement for I KnowSupermarket Rebel No 19:T0 -
Have you tried those sponge things that you put under water. Think flash doone, but yu can find in most pound shops.0
