I have frozen hens eggs in threes & used them later to make cakes and omlettes, you just beat them and the freeze in little tubs. They look a bit gloopy when they thaw out but they are perfect in use for things like that

Citrus curd? Quiche? I think you can freeze quiches, and curd will last in jars. :)
  • Sorry, this is no help at all, but the first time I bought goose eggs from my duck egg supplier, dd14, cooked herself a 3 egg omlette :rotfl:. At least she went to school with a nutritoius breakfast.

  • Hiya
we use to use them for baking they are awesome - seem to work really well. One goose egg = 4 large hens eggs.

We also use to freeze them - glooped up like carrie said and then put them into wee bags - messy - initially but each bag had an 'egg' in it - my pal did the same but lightly buttered her bun tray for yorkies and put in 'an eggs worth' froze them and then put them into a bag once they were solid. (more sensible I think)

I miss our geese - we use to have 2.

    Goodluck

Great for baking, but a bit rich for eating on their own I think. One of my DH's customers has geese and she just bakes with the eggs, I imagine you wouldn't need many!

    Hi.
I have two lovely goose eggs and intend to make a cake with them:T
However I would like to blow them so the shells remain intact so i can decorate them at a later date.

I have heard that it is very difficult to do and wondered if anyone had ever blown goose eggs and any tips for either baking with them or blowing?
    Many thanks x
I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.
