How quickly does credit report get updated?

I was wondering how quickly your credit report gets updated following a monthly payment? Just I have checked my credit report and it shows one missed payment in the last 6 months but I was hoping that after my Direct Debit this month that it would then show no missed payments in the last 6 months and so I was wondering how long it will take for this to be updated following the DD?? Many thanks

One missed payment on one card/loan in 6 months will cause no concern. However, if you have had one payment missed on several cards loans, or a couple of missed payments here and there, that will have an effect.
All companys report to your credit file once a month, but some report at the beginning, ohers at the end.No Longer works for MBNA as of August 2010 - redundancy money will be nice though.

I cleared my credit card at the begining of the month and my credit report says I still owe on it, so it must update at the end of the month, slightly annoying but it will be put right no doubt. Not an expert, but I try and contribute and I'll always listen.
