Remortgage is this it?

We are in process of remortging , spoke to solicitor today and he said letter in post to ask us to come in and sign some paperwork and thats it

Seems so easy, we applied for mortgage, got mortgage promise, them had suveyor , then mortgage offer and told solicitor to apply for deeds and now within 2 weeks going to sign paperwork.

Is this it? Is it that easy ? Can anything go wrong now ?


Am I right in thinking once paperwork signed solicitor applies to new mortgage company and gave "completion date " just like if we were buying a house? and then money is transferred to pay off old mortgage ect. do not wnat to ask solicitor stupid questions, I aksed himtoday on phone " is that it we just ahev to sign ? " and he said yes

I know where you're coming from Doelani!
We are remortaging too and having signed and returned all the paperwork - I emailed to check completion date and that all was okay and was told the "thats it - it'll complete on the date" thing.
I thought it would be much more involved than that!!

just seems so simple, hopefully once teh paperwork signed on Tuesday will be sorted quickly as feel as it everything si on hold until this is done as we are releasimg equity to complete an IVA and just want it all finished with :j
