I'm a little nervous about meeting everyone too! But excited also. Can't book until we've got into the new house and done the court/OR thing but am hoping there will still be room.

You can book without paying any money, Lily. They just need card details to hold the room - they don't take any money until you're actually there. :)

Yes as wdiag say you pay cash on the day. Yo have until 1pm on the day to cancel before they charge the card you booked with so better to be safe than sorry.

I pm martin and asked him to join us:cool: . He replied that he would see what his commitments where closer to the date if in london. When i told him it was worcester he said with his shedule it would not be poss Never mind i tried:o .

I have been asked what time we are all meeting. We can not get into rooms until 2pm. They have an offer on food if eaten/ordered before 6.30pm so might be a good idea to fill our bellys before we get down to the real stuff. It's a beefeater if anybody wants to check the menu, some of it is expensive. I have checked the route to the other pub(straight road!) the one that does 2/4/1 and it's about a 15-20 min walk!

We could do with some more def bookings please people.:rotfl:

  • Hey JoJo ...I`m sure no-one bites, is a ugly green alien monster or a frenzied axe-murderer!! ....well I hope not!

 Looks like i'm not welcome then:rolleyes:

I'm not going to book until Late June. Am using 'someones' CC and want to pay them cash as i use it.
Will also give me time to see if i can save and how much.
Plan to book room late June, book coach late July then save for food and drink after that.
Also holding out for some sweet soul to say they are going by car via the west lancs coast:D
The first time we said hello, was the first time we said goodbye. As the angels took your tiny hand and flew you to the sky-you forever left us breathless. RIP my beautiful granddaughter :(
  • I've just been looking at the Beefeater menus - the prices are a bit high, but at least you can collect Nectar points on your meal. :j The value menu isn't too bad (I'm used to London prices :o), though a pub meal would probably be cheaper. Depending on numbers, maybe we could share cabs to a local pub if the nearest decent one is too far away to walk. :)

Well sat morn and a little bored so thought i would trawl through the beefeater website. I came across a party menu they have which i must say looks quite good. It's 3 courses for £14.50 or 2 courses for £12.99. Includes steak, salmon, chicken so something for everyone really. Must say i don't fancy being too far, stagger wise, from my room but go with the flow.

I do intend over the next few wks to go on a fact finding mission :rotfl: by visiting the 3 pears for a drink/meal and also to walk to the barn owl(the 2/4/1 pub up the road)to see how long it takes and to try their food. I will also enquire about cab's into worcester to see if thats a viable option. There are a couple of cheap watering holes and a "eat as much as you like" chinese buffet for £9.99 as well as many resturants.
At the end of the day i will go with the flow:D

    Hi Bltn,
I'm far from a  "sweet soul" but if you can catch a train or coach to Meadowhall we'll be driving past there.

In our area there are some very cheap deals to the big shopping centres so there may well be the same thing near you.
