Holiday Entitlement

Can somebody please tell me if it is written in law about holiday entitlement. What I need to know is whether an employer is obliged to give you a certain amount of holiday based on the number of hours you do in a working week or month.
My DW works for a major supermarket & she has been advised of her entitlement for this year, but she thinks that she used to get more when working the same total hours at another branch of the same company.
Many thanks for your help.

If she works the same hours every day, then it might be calculated in days rather than hours, if that makes sense.
So if she used to work 3 x 4 hour days, but now works 2 x 6 hour days, and they calculate her holiday in days, it will look less on the statement of the no. of days' leave she has, but she'll get the same amount of pay.
If her hours vary from week to week then you need that link of ohreally's ...Signature removed for peace of mind0 -
your calculations, after pro rata, days worked etc should equate to 24 days per annum INCLUDING BH's (based on FT):heartpuls baby no3 due 16th November :heartpulsTEAM YELLOWDFD 16/6/10"Shut your gob!
