forgot to add-c c c s will usually advise against a iva as you have to have about £200 or more a month to pay back, try not to take this step as it is only a stone throw away from bancrupcy
it seems like a long slog on dmp my debt will take 15 years to be paid off as it stands at the moment but at least i can breathe and sleep at night now and maybe one day a better paid job will fly my way.......dreaming again
good luckgoal for 2014....i will manage money better ..must resist shopping..............:A0 -
Thanks jmhgibson123 for the advice will pop in next week, I dont really worry about how long it will take to pay it off. If I were to be in a position to get a consolidation loan (which I am not so I cant) it would be many years anyway until it was paid off so a DMP sounds the next best thing and probably more helpful. As you say all I want is to have the worry removed and a few more pounds in my pocket each month yet still know everything is paid.
Krasnoludek Thanks for the advice, we currently rent our bungalow and dont see we will be able to get back on the property ladder for many years to come!
Undersized Rascal Thanks for the confidence booster. I have tried with my husband as have everyone but its not going to change unless I divorse him so I put up and shut up. MIL used to help when payments slipped but she has her own financial issues now so cant manage to. She lent husband a considerable sum back in Feb. as van was written off in an accident (other driver at fault) but insurance claim didnt cover new van and due to us having bad credit score no chance of us getting new HP agreement. Unfortunately this came first otherwise MIL was going to lend me the money to clear debts as a 0% loan.
Will try to post SOA soon

Ghosthunter, welcome.
You cannot do this alone, you need your OH on board with you, you need to work as a team otherwise it will fall apart.
Phone the CCCS, they are very helpful and then get your OH to listen to your every word.
I wish you a peaceful nights sleep.
