Compost bin, check your local council before you buy.

I was looking for a compost bin and priced them locally (£30 - £40) so I thought I'd check on MSE to see if I could get one any cheaper.
Some posts on the greenfingered board suggested trying your local council to see if they sell them at a subsidised cost. I rang Ards Borough Council (9182 4014/15) on Tuesday, paid £5 by credit card and I got this and this delivered today! :j

At that rate Ballymena Borough Council aren't as stingy as I thought. I got both those items 3 years ago when I moved into my house for free :money::money:0 -

managed to get 2 free in ballymena. however i ended up with 2 wasps nests and had to empty them and wash them out. Now they are used brilliantly for log storage, both are fill to the brim with logs for this winter. !!0
