Just paid off student loan at last

:j

Last payment totalling £419 was just made! Woohoo!

Now I've got capital one on my butt for a missed payment which I did actually pay them. Argh! This getting debt free thing is harder than I thought due to the complete incompetence of half of the lenders out there.
£8k to pay off before Jan 2011! Was 28k to pay off by Jan 2010 though so I'm happy :)

    Hey hey, nicely done! :D

I haven't even started paying my student loan off yet, and it's at something silly like £12k now. Mind you, I only just found out that the rate's shot up to 4.8% on them now; that's higher than my mortgage!

I've barely paid anything off my student loan, just the odd few payments when i've had a bonus etc.

Its not big though, around £1,400 as only had one installment, same as my partner. Neither of us pay, his work still aren't taking deductions despite him being over the threshold.

I don't class it as real debt though and I am in no hurry to start paying it, everything else is far far more important in my eyes.
