Hi
My fixed rate of 4.99% with abbey national is due to end on the 3rd of june. Can anyone tell me what we will be paying extra amonth please. We currently pay £299.42 a month. Our mortgage is about £46000 going by memory and without digging the paperwork out.
We are not sure what to do really as we have got itchy feet to move but as the market is not certain at the mo, just ajob to know what to do. If i go fixed we have got to stay put for 2 yrs but i dont want to increase mortgage on a move (because we would like a bigger house) and we would be unable to afford it because of the unstable market.
Any advise would be gratefully appreciated.

Think you need to decide if you want to move or not. One option would be to take a mortgage that is portable. A move would mean a new lending decision, but at least the principle that you could move the current deal to the new house is there.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards.
