I have a box of tesco scone mix(:o dd put it in the trolley)
question is can I use it as a base for a pizza, hubby says no?????

You can make a scone base pizza! However, I'd take it back (if you have your receipt) explain it was a mistake, and they'll refund you.

Another yes from me, but its not like your traditional pizza base it will be more cakey so roll it quite thin

is it possible to make a pizza base then instead of using the scone mix without yeast?:o I don't usually come on here am usually found on the comps board but I do read a lot of your fab recipes:Dto be updated:;)0

You won't need to add yeast to the box mix, just make it up as it says and put all of the good pizza stuff on top
Any 'yeast free' recipes for pizza bases will usually be made with a scone type mix anyway, so you're not doing anything weird that won't taste good.

Thanks peeps, do I need to cook the base first:o before I put the topping on, (can you tell I am a crap cook) well actually I made some fab fishcakes the other day and ace meatballs all thanks to you lot:D

I wouldn't cook the base first, as scones don't generally like to be messed about with while they're cooking, but I would make sure that any veggies (peppers/onions etc) were cut quite thinly so that they cook at the same speed as the base - you don't want a burnt base and raw veggies0
