Expat mortgage

I currently have a 60k mortgage but have recently been informed by my Nat West finance adviser that as I work abroad and don't pay UK tax I cannot apply for a mortgage with them as the rules have changed. Furthermore they cannot advise me any further regading property. I am looking to borrow around 250-300k. I'd appreciate any advice.

    What exactly is it you are trying to do? Re-mortgage or buy a new property?
