Saros... anyone ever been successful?

I've been a member of Saros for over a year now and have filled out many of their little surveys to see if I qualify for numerous research panels.

It always comes back as unsuccesful so I have now decided to leave as I'm fed up with filling in the information.

Has anyone else ever been chosen?
I was wondering if it's possible that the questions they ask on the survey to see if you qualify might be all the research they actually need and that the false promise of perhaps joining a group and being paid is what convinces people to fill them out... or am i just being paranoid?:rotfl:

Yeah, I've been chosen and went to a focus group thing a few months ago. It was insanely boring and I hated virtually every moment, but it was money for a couple of hours that I wouldn't have had otherwise, and so I would do it again.

I registered at the start of the year, and attended my 1st focus group today. Got paid good money for half an hour. They are a London based company, so I guess most of their stuff gets done down there. I was told they don't often do Leeds, and I was lucky to have got one. Hope you guys get one soon too. Good luck.

hi i have had one , they came to my house, i live in manchester. ive only given them my moblie number and home one
  • Yep, I have done 2 for them and my husband has also done 2, and i have also passed opportunities on to friends who have been succesful. They are very strict about meeting the correct criteria and also that you shouldnt have taken part in any other other focus groups for 6 months. Usually good money if its mildly interesting and nearby! I only give them mobile and home numbers too. Hang in there you never know. Often, if you scan the screener survey you can work out what they are looking for and whether or not you are likely to be asked.

It's been nearly two years, in fill in just about every survey as they're pretty much always applicable but I never fit the criteria....wondering if it's my job- i'm an events co-ordinator, it's not pr/media or anything like that but I guess they could assume there may be some crossover (as a lot of event co-ordination can be pr type stuff, though i'm more of a party planner, no pr jobs)
