Hi, I'm making a chocolate meringue pie to take to my parents next weekend, but I'm after a recipe for a 9" pie crust, can anyone help? I've tried searching the internet but everything that comes up is American and I can't figure out their measurements - help please!

Ok here goes
9 inch = 22.86 centimeters
so I reckon its probably nearer to a 25cm pie crust (which would allow for cutting edges/the thickness you roll it etc)
so I would make this amount and any extra could be used for little jam tarts:D
225/8oz Plain Flour
2.5ml/1/2 tsp/pinch salt
50g/2oz lard
50g/2oz butter or magarine
2-3 tablespoons cold waterJune Grocery Challenge 270.80/250July Grocery Challenge 0/3000 -
Forgot to say this is for shortcrust pastry as its the only type I can make, maybe add some sugar if you want it to be sweeter, Id probably add about 1 oz of sugarJune Grocery Challenge 270.80/250July Grocery Challenge 0/3000

Hi Bella,
I use the same recipe as razra, but if it's for a sweet recipe I add an oz of caster sugar.

Thank you so much, do I just mix it all together and hope for the best? (I really am a novice!) :rolleyes:0
