Hi Everyone
I paid off my IVA early in January 2008. Me and my partner are now on top of all our bills and are both earning very good wages.
The problem is we have still got a very low credit rating, I could therefore really do with some help and advice advice on how to improve it so we can move house next year.
I have been told that the best way to improve your credit rating is to get a credit card, buy stuff and pay everything off each month. The only trouble is I need a better credit rating to get a credit card so I am going around in cirlces.
Is there anyone in the same position who can help me? I would be very greatful for any help.
Love Maria xxxx

Until the IVA disappears from your Credit Reference Files, credit of any form will be hard.
Make sure that you Credit reference Files have been updated correctly by your former creditors. If they don't then the details of your old accounts can hang around on your record for much longer than they should do, harming your chances.
