I have just past the 50 review mark and 25 first reviews ( where you are the 1st to write a review on somewhere).
I have been emailed to say I am half way there so I presume I have to do 50 first reviews??

Qype Amazon Challenge Terms and Conditions

The Prize: A guaranteed £50 Amazon voucher for the first 500 people who meet the quota as stipulated below (if we have reached the threshold we will let you know before you start reviewing). The total prize value of each prize is £50 only.
This promotion is only open to residents of the United Kingdom aged 18 years or over ("Participants"). Employees of Qype (the promoter), their agents and contractors or any member of any such person's family are not permitted to enter. Qype GmbH reserves the right to verify the eligibility of Participants.
Each voucher is awarded at the discretion of the Qype team and may be withheld if it is deemed that the participant did not meet the review criteria as stipulated on the competition page:

• We pride ourselves on the quality of our reviews on Qype. While there's no need to write an essay, you can't get enough information across in two sentences either. A good rule of thumb is to write at least three sentences, or around 100 words per review. 1 or 2 line reviews will not be counted.
• Reviews must only be in English, but can be of anywhere in the world.
• This competition is only open to permanent residents of the United Kingdom.
• Copying and pasting content from other review websites will not be tolerated and users “borrowing” content will be excluded from the competition.
• Each Participant may only enter once. If a Participant attempts to enter multiple times, they will be excluded from the competition and will no longer be eligible to receive a £50 Amazon voucher.

The Promotional Period is 14/11/2008 to 30/11/2008 and will close at midnight on 30/11/2008. Every person who has met the criteria of writing 50 qualifying reviews will be sent a confirmation email. Those who do not receive a confirmation may send an enquiry email to feedback@qype.com with the word ‘amazon’ in the subject line.
The successful Participants may spend their Amazon voucher on any product available on the Amazon.co.uk website.

Prizes are not transferable and are non negotiable. Cash or credit alternatives will not be offered. The promoter reserves the right to provide substitute prizes of similar value should the specified prize become unavailable for reasons beyond its control.

I have now received another email saying congratulations I have done the challenge and will receive my Amazon voucher by 10th December :j :j :j :beer:
So it must be for 50 reviews and does not have to be first reviews.

Did you also fill in the details for the Qype goodies? I just received an email saying I've reached 250 points and I should fill this in, but I'm wondering if that means I'm on a different promotion, or can you still get the £50 Amazon vouchers as well?

I dont think it changes the promotion, ive been on there for a few hours today and am already an insider! woop woop!! ive done 30 review so far so im will try an churn out another 20 tonight to get my voucher!!

Have any of you joined the MSE'r group on there?

What MSE'r group? Have been so busy writing reviews I haven't noticed that. Where is it?

I always hate it when the deadline is far away, you just know that between now and 10th December something will go wrong, well as long as i get that shuffle i guess it wasnt all bad.

So if i've signed up and manage to do this by the 30/11 then i will get a voucher? In which case i will pace myself, or do more than 500 get to sign-up and only the first 500 to complete get a voucher- in which case i will try and get them done asap!

Thanks for that! Just had a very quick look and now I'm worried! People are talking about having to register for the challenge, and some complaining that they had written reviews but forgotten to register. I thought it was automatic. I registered with Qype using that banner on their site with the ad about the £50 Amazon vouchers. Is there something else we have to do?
