I have just been searching the BBC website for recipes and found this
might help you use up your rose petals rather then chucking them in the compost.

Interesting, but I don't think I'll be rushing into the garden to get some petals for that delicacy! We used to make scent with rose petals as kids - shove loads in a bottle and fill up with water! Result was usually more Shrek's swamp than Chanel!0
