Sticky on re-mortgage rates?

I'm looking for a good re-mortgage deal but it's hard searching through all the individual threads trying to strike gold, and the rates seem to be changing at lightning speed too! Does anyone know if there is a good list somewhere of the best deals (especially which pay the valuation fees etc. for you) for re-mortgages and please could we have a sticky on the best/new re-mortgage rates so it's easier for people looking like me to keep up to date?

I don't think that you can say there is a BEST deal, as everyone's circumstances are different, and every lenders criteria is different.
Also with the rates changing constantly it would be a full-time job keeping it up to date.
There are plenty of sites around which give the "best buys" but these are usually based on lowest rates rather than best overall deal for a particular customer.
If you want to see what's best for your circumstances, try and speak to a whole of market, broker. Then once you have done that check out the rates for First Direct, HSBC, etc0 -
The idea would be to have a sticky so we can discuss mortgage rates in a general way with updates on deals and new deals available rather than having to sift through all the individual situations to try and find something relevant. Anyone else interested?0

I'm interested, went to a fixed product as rates were increasing and now they have dropped, so am looking to change provider/product soon.Money can't buy friends, but it can get you a better class of enemy - Spike Milligan.0

Sorry Melodyx, I misunderstood what you were looking to do.
In that case I think it is a good idea, though the thread would be very long and people possibly too lazy to read everything0 -
What is needed is a comparison website.
Different deals are better for diffferent circumstances but if we can find our credit rating in points out of 1,000, we should be able to enter a few details to find the best deal. Valuation, LTV, salaries etc.
In truth, the diference between most deals is marginal and often subjective.

The rates the lenders charge and the fees and the deal package offered change day to day. There is no way someone can keep on top of it and update it all the time. Deals get pulled with less than 6 hours notice or even less at times.0

I don't Melodyx is looking for a sticky constantly showing the best deals, because as I said previously this would be a full time job.
I believe that she wants one thread with all the remortgage questions on it rather than everyone posting individual threads which are easier to read than a thread which disappears into the mass of pages after 36 hours.
It's a good idea in my opinion and may reduce the number of threads which ask the same or a similar question over and over again.
There could be separate sticky threads for remortgages, purchases, FTBs so that individuals can read the advice more easily.0 -
I just thought others might be struggling trying to read all the individual threads when they were looking for more general information... Could we have a Remortgaging Discussion Area like the Top Savings Discussion Area so people can discuss updates and ask questions in one place? It might also be handy to have a FTB Discussion Area?0
