Guys, how long does it take for a BT to go from one card to the other? I did a BT from my Skycard to my Egg card 4 days ago, Egg picked it up straight away, but the balance hasn't gone from Sky yet, so I currently have double the debt I started with
How long should I wait before I get worried?

HI Sarah, the answer seems to be: AGES.
I BTed a balance from Egg to Virgin days and days ago and it's currently showing on both.
Annoying, isn't it?Total debt: 1 January 2007 £[strike]49,387.79[/strike] 1 January 2012 £[STRIKE]19,312.85[/STRIKE] 1 August 2012 £11,517.620 -
Definately! The whole time I sit here thinking 'what if it doesn't work/I have done something wrong and I end up with double the debt?''We are all in the gutter, but some of us are looking at the stars' - Oscar Wilde0

In my experience, it caried between a week to ten days. I would start worrying if you hit the 2 week mark. After falling off the gambling wagon (twice): £33,600 (24,000+ 9,600) - Original CC Debt: £7,885.91
Dad Gift 6k ¦ Savings & Inv Tst: £2,500
Loan 10k: £0 ¦ Dad 5.5k: £2,270 ¦ LTSB: £0 ¦ RBS: £0 ¦ Virgin £0 ¦ Egg £0
Total Owed: £2,270 (+6k) 11/08/20110 -
in my experience its 7 working days to fully clear
the thing i'm wondering, where does this money actually go, who has it right now? are they earning interest on it? are we getting charged daily for the balance on both cards?
this should all be made clear. anyway i wouldn't worry if its only 4 days, the fact its showing on the new card means you've done your bit right.Halifax: [STRIKE]3800[/STRIKE] 1800 @ 4.9% LoB ¦ Morgan Stanley: [STRIKE]2800[/STRIKE] GONE @ 12.9% ¦ Egg: [STRIKE]1500[/STRIKE] 400 @ 12.9% ¦ Barclaycard [STRIKE]1200[/STRIKE] 800 @ 0% (9 months left) ¦ HSBC 1450 @ 2.5% (thanks Martin! :money:) Dad: 2500 (to replace savings - not Debt! :j) ~~

Thanks, I wondered about the interest too, I guess you'd end up paying interest on both! Bit cheeky really!lazysaver182 wrote: »in my experience its 7 working days to fully clear

Thankfully mine is from a 0% purchases to a 0% BT so I'm not actually paying interest atm
