I am attending a conference at the queens hotel in leeds soon and i am wondering if i will be stuck paying £15 per day parking or if someone with local knowledge can please tell me if there are safe places to park a car that costs less and is safe?
Thanks in advance

I don't drive, but DH finds Leeds parking horrendously expensive.
Do you need to take the car? The Queens Hotel literally backs on to the railway station, so if it is practical to take the train that may save (usual stuff about planning journey, buying ticket ahead, comparing cost to petrol...)
If you are keen on history try to get to the Royal Armouries - well worth a visit and on the edge of Leeds City Centre. If you like a bargain Leeds market is massive and if you like posh shopping there is a Harvey Nichols and have a look at the Victoria Quarter.
I'm too middle aged to know about night clubs etc but I believe the night life is extremely active. Cinema in central Leeds is in a shopping centre called the Light which has several screens, there are usually things happening at the West Yorkshire Playhouse & The Grand Theatre.
If you take the car you are within easy distance of Yorkshire Dales, York (with shedloads of Museums), Harrogate, Skipton... Lots of buses & trains to all sorts of places. You can get a bus to Holmfirth where they film last of the summer wine.
Right next to the railway station and the Queens Hotel is a tourist Information place, which should also have a few ideas.
The Queens Hotel is really posh - hope you have a brilliant time there.Always another chapter0
