Its time to be positive

Hi all I posted last night asking you all to help keep me sane over the last 7 days my hubby and i have been threatened with court proceedings, I have come clean to my parents about my last 8 years of debt that they knew nothing about ( that was harder than having the call about going to court! ) the goldfish have died, the dog snapped at the kids, I've been off work ill, gone back to work to a heap of probs to sort out,the doctors have sent for me my smear test ( which my friend last night laughed at and said so they want your dignity as well then!!!) So after all that !!!! I think I can cope with anything so I'm ready I will go to court if i need to and i will sit there and let the judge tell them I can't afford what they want . so thank you to all of you you are keeping me sane!:T

The community on MSE keeps me sane, for sure.

It really is a great place to get support when you need it!

I think without this site, and the good members on it, many, many of us would have faced weeks / months / years of undue stress.
Click here for Martins (MSE) advice on who to contact with Debt Issues - YOU HAVE NO REASON TO USE A FEE PAYING DEBT MANAGEMENT COMPANY- THEY CANNOT DO ANYMORE FOR YOU THAN THOSE LISTED IN MY LINK ABOVE.

All information given by myself is offered informally and without prejudice - if in doubt seek help from a qualified and insured professional

we were surprised shocked even when we saw this site and how many people are being treated unfairly it doesn't make your own stuff go away but it helps to know your not on your own and that debt is nothing to be ashamed about i might show my mother this site but then again she'll say I'm airing my washing in public so won't bother got enough on without attracting more stress

I agree - this site has been an absolute godsend and no-one knows what you're going through better than those who are going through it themselves.

I would suggest weaning your Mother onto MSE gradually. Drop little snippets of information that will save her money and she won't be able to help herself but to ask how you know all this. Maybe don't let on about the forums to her just yet, but give her the MSE.com web address. If she 'stumbles' upon the forum......so much the better.
YOUR = belonging to you (your coat); YOU'RE = you are (I hope you're ok)

really....it's not hard to understand :T

thanx but after what i've just told her this weekend if i suddenly start giving her advice on saving money she'll ask why i didn't take my own i think i'll leave my mum in her world and i'll carry on in mine she's one of those who doesn't understand as she has never had to copper up or watch the pennies
