3 years ago I took out a Homestart Mortgage with HSBC.I am now coming to the end of the interest only period which is until 1 June 2008, then it changes to interest and capital repayments period which will make payments go up by £200,which will be a bit steep for me.I have being paying the interest only at 5.49%.At the moment I wish to continue the current payments at £471.66. I rang HSBC today and they said my outstanding amount is £103k. Would like to know what is best thing to do at the moment.Any advice will be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

HSBC can keep it on IO if your LTV is less than 80% and you have a sufficient repayment vehicle.
Failing that you'd have to look at IO with another lender.0
