Hi
Just after some advice my father in law's dad has Alzeheimers but has not been taking into care as yet, he lives with his wife in the house that they jointly own. What is the rule around him being taken into a care home and having to pay for this with their equity? Is it too late to assign the house over to his son? Also they have £39000 in savings will this be used to pay for his care too? What amount of this monies can be given as a gift to the son? Look forward to receiving your advice!
