Take our Children away. My 4yr old wants to go to Blackpool to see The Dinosaur Safari but we really can't afford to go, so we are trying to do it as cheap as poss. We were wondering whats the cheapest way to get there? Fly or Ferry?? And from where Belfast, Dublin etc. Please help as a holiday would cheer us all up. Thank you very much.

Ps i live in Rathfriland which is between Banbridge and Newry, incase you have never heard of it. I also collect Tesco vouchurs so dont know if they would be any good to get the ferry cheaper. Thanks.

jet2.com flies to Blackpool. If you travel in the middel of the week fares should be cheap and try to go outside school holidays0

Check out bus as well.0

You can use tesco vouchers for haven sites, there are two near blackpool, marton mere and Cala gran, we have stayed at cala gran, its okay, and the outside waterworks play park was lovely for the kids. £1 of tesco voucher = £4 haven voucher so 25% of the cost really.Always on the hunt for a bargain0

Keep uoyr eye out for the sun newspaper they will be starting soon for holidays to haven sites for £9 each we've been on them and they are great for children0

Manx2 fly to Blackpool (www.manx2) but they are not generally cheap (around £160rtn). Also consider flying to MAN with Bmibaby or Flybe and getting the train. Manchester airport has it's own rail station with direct service to Blackpool about every hour. (I should think Jet2 will work out cheapest though). Try them allTimmay!0

I believe Ulsterbus do an 'all-in' which works out quite reasonable, think my sister has been a couple of times with them.........What if the Hokey Pokey really is what it's all about !!!0

Ulsterbus/Translink mini tours are superb, a real MSEer's dream.
We use them at least once a year and can never work out how they do it for the price - the quality of the accomodation is excellent.
