Arrrgghhh!!! Baby Oil!

Hello my lovelies!

I've managed to get baby oil on my favourite jersey vest top. I didn't discover it until it was dried. I've tried the old faithful washing up liquid trick - but it didn't work.

I've read somewhere that WD40 could work (?) but would really appreciate your help guys. Brand names aren't normally a lot of use to me here in Lanzarote - but you never know eh?

It's a lovely top - and I can't get back to the UK to buy another one.

Please help save my top!

Elle xx

I've used Stain Devils in the past to get cooking oil from clothes so that might help...

    http://www.britsuperstore.com/acatalog/Stain_Devil.html

There's one for removing fat and oil and another for removing grease, machine oil and lubricant. Not sure which one would be best...

Lol Hazzie - alas it was nothing exciting ;)

Thanks for your help guys. Not sure I've seen swarfega or stain devils here (the postal system is rubbish, so ordering online isn't an option). I'll let you know how I get on.

Hi Elle1979, when I did my Holistic Therapy training the tutor told us the only way to remove massage oil from out uniforms was to use a dishwasher tablet in the wash. This works!! However I am not sure if it would work on baby oil as the base oils used in massage are natural, not petrochemical based. However, it might be worth a try?

Update for you guys. I sprayed it with WD40 - chucked it in the washing machine, and it's come up a treat! I'm wearing it as we speak.

    Thanks for all your help!
