Life after bankruptcy

Hello I went Bankrupt last year and have a few questions regarding how it effects my life post bankruptcy.

Basically I have been bankrupt for around 6 months now (well tomorrow) and in this time my father passed away and has left me around £21K. The money was left through a system that means that it is given to me as a gift and so isn’t taxed.

My question is if I pay this into my bank account will the OR see it and then ask me for the money to help pay off the debts? Also I would like to buy a car with this money, if I buy the car in my name can they see this and take the car?

Thanks in advance
