Okay, so they paid off my previous loan on the 27/12/08 and still haven't issued my cheque for the cash portion of my loan. Every single day they give me a new excuse and tell me they'll be sending it tommorrow! I've just got off the phone with them and it's the same answer!
They're telling me that they can't send a BACS transfer, only a cheque. Even after I argued that the first loan was a BACS transfer. The dude on the other end of the phone insisted that they didn't do BACS... so I called the regional office who managed the account and they confirmed that they DID do BACS but couldn't help me as this loan was dealt with by their head-office.
It's becoming such a head-ache now and I'm STILL having no luck in sorting out the PPI that I apparently HAD to sign up for...
Is there anyone out there who can help me get the actual cash that I've signed for?0 -
looks like they are struggling.
I had a phone call from them recently offering a loan but the apr was a joke plus I don't need a loan anyway!
I read the beloe article on bbc news site

Loan firm set to cut 1,000 jobs
UK firm Cattles, which offers loans to risky borrowers, is planning to cut 1,000 jobs after its business was hit by the effects of the credit crunch.
The sub-prime loans firm says it must cut costs as it expects its Welcome Finance personal lending arm to cut new business by three-quarters this year.
The 1,000 job cuts, which includes the closure of its Hull operation, accounts for about 20% of the firm's workforce.
The firm said the move would allow it to weather current economic conditions. It is estimated that about 400 of the 1,000 Cattles jobs to go will be in Hull, with the majority being lost in the Welcome Financial Services arm of the business - which has two call centres in the city.0 -
We too have had no end of problems on going claim for ppi and subject access request at the last count three different offices were dealing with this (four if you count the local office!) who I may add are in denial and insist that Cattles are not in trouble (that on the day the suspended some of the chief financial directors and slid yet again in the stock market!)

Since this three more directors suspended including the one who I was told to write to! Meanwhile I have, at last got part of the subject access request, not complete as it is still for a different loan number and address, the person I spoke to said things were difficult as they had three different systems to check (and they wonder why things go wrong) BUT as far as she could make out it was "not a solid loan agrement" I asked her to confirm this in writing as yet to hear...0
