The voucher clearly states "one voucher per person", not "one voucher per table, group, or order", so they cannot refuse to take more than one.
The problem is that the till is programmed to only take one per order, hence managers making their own rules up. In the branch I used, the staff were quite happy to take two, but needed to split the meal onto two bills and take two lots of payment (and were quite apologetic that they needed to do so).0 -

iwe used ours at canary wharf,we said at the beginning we would like to pay seperately and 2 bills produced and we used both vouchers. thanks again op.0

No the use by is not always 1st may i just done one tonight and it's until the 12th june. Hope that helps. slug breakfasts are yum0
