I find that the Nivea wipes sting my face especially around my eyes. I bought 6 packs though because they were reduced to 50p. I much prefer the Boots Expert ones. I doubt I'd be able to return mine though because I haven't got a receipt for them anymore.

That's a shame, maybe you can use them as hand wipes? I'll make sure not to trade my Roc for Nivea (the Olay ones I bought are fine). BTW, I read the ingredients on the "alcohol free" ROC wipes today, and they have "cetearyal alcohol", which wikipedia says isn't really an alcohol, and citric acid! Perhaps that last one is what caused the problem, as the stinging felt like getting a shot of grapefruit juice in the eye, only worse!

Hi skibster and not sure if I've caught you before you go shopping, but if not, can you ask if it's the Retinol in it that causes the allergic reaction please?

I was going to try the 12 week programme (?) but read up on it and think it might be the retinol that caused my reaction to the P&P. (I did read somewhere that if you had sensitive skin, to introduce Roc over a period of days - like use once every 3 days to begin with etc, but can't find the bookmark now.)

    Thanks in advance :)

I'm not sure who I'd ask about the Retinol, as the SAs won't know. My face wipes don't have Retinol in them. You might want to check around online (here are the reviews I found that mention a bad reaction when using ROC Retin-Ox Correxion, if that helps - the first three reviewers liked it, and if you scroll down the other six had bad reactions and burning skin). Maybe ask your GP if you should use it?

Just reading the bottom of the wrapper on the Roc GWP and it says "for very sensitive skin, the use of the highly effective Retinol ingredient in Roc Retin-ox products may cause slight tingling or redness. In this case, use less frequently and build up to recomended usage. if discomfort persists, discont use

    That was me , Skibs...

there is still one lone ROC GWP in our boots...but i couldnt be bothered to try getting it with other ROC combinations now, esp since the SAs cant even read. You mentioned earlier that ROC didnt work for you too,...have u tried it again?

i have been paid for this week, but i shall not spend a single penny in boots...(lets see how long i can resist:p )

Nope, I'm passing on Roc products after my unpleasant reaction to the face wipes. Since I've already tried and like (so far) L'oreal Derma Genesis creams and Olay cleansers, I'm sticking to what I know, lol!

Hi i rang Peterborough yesterday and they said they had had them in but sold out really quickly. They have ordered more but were not sure when they would be in.
  • Thought I would try a larger store today what a wast off time
ACM no decent offers could not see any off the canvas bags and when I asked a S/ A
if there was clearance stand she replied with why ? Did see a few bits of No 7 items reduced lip gloss and eye shadows but nothing that took my fancy
