Ive got a crappy old nvidia card, but dont want to install this random software called steam you need in order to just download the games which is a bit stupid...

anyone has any of the games downloads on a mirror which doesnt require the stupid software first Id download it otherwise... X

Nothing wrong with Steam, was abit crap when it started out but its great now! They are meant to have over 15 million accounts now :eek: Doubt your find any mirrors for the half life games, since there made by Valve who made Steam

*edit* you can stop it from starting with windows in the options, so it only loads when you play the games
