Can I still call myself debt-free?

Resurrected this thread to say the balance will be paid off tomorrow!
In the end I put the car insurance, two ferry crossings and a laptop we decided to buy whilst in the UK last year on it on it and the balance to be paid tomorrow is £1400.
So, tomorrow we will be debt-free again!:j
However....car insurance is due again in May and this time, because of the abysmal exchange rate and losing a lodger from my UK home, I haven't been able to save up specially for it (although we still have our savings).
So....going to see if MY credit card issuer will offer me an interest-free transfer this time. If so, we can pay on my husband's and transfer onto mine.I've already paid for our ferry crossing to the UK in June, but have not as yet booked the return journey (because we don't know when we will return), and that may go on it too.
Anyway, we'll enjoy being debt-free again for at least a couple of months!(AKA HRH_MUngo)

Imagine someone holding forth on biology whose only knowledge of the subject is the Book of British Birds, and you have a rough idea of what it feels like to read Richard Dawkins on theology: Terry Eagleton0
