Hi DFWannabees....
I have an interview next week with Egg through an agency (if i get it i will be employed by the agency on a long term temp assignment).
The only problem is, is I have defaulted on my egg card and loan. They will do a credit check on me won't they? As previous financial organisations have done this before when I have worked for them.
Is there any point in going for the interview? I'm gutted really because it could be a dream start to a career I really want!
Any thoughts?

IF you don't go you'll never know!
It's worth a try - especially as you're technically employed by the agency...you wouldn't be an Egg employee so you may not get the same checks anyway.
My experience from agency forms etc is that they are only interested if you have CCJs, IVAs or BR against your name.
as I said, please have a go or you'll regret it!

Hiya,
I agree. There's no harm going for it, especially if it's the career you've always wanted.
I don't know anything about credit checks they do on you but think it would be a shame not to go and see.
The worst they can say is "No sorry".

Absolutely go for the interview.

If they do a credit check, I don't think they will see that the defaults are with their products. Maybe someone can confirm? As for checking to see if you are a customer and checking your account details, I'm not sure they will (or are allowed to) do this. I may be wrong, but go to the interview and don't worry about this. Put it out of your mind because it may have no bearing on anything and if it does, there's nothing you can do about it anyway!Running Club targets 20105KM - 21:00 21:55 (59.19%)10KM - 44:00 --:-- (0%)Half-Marathon - 1:45:00 HIT! 1:43:08 (57.84%)Marathon - 3:45:00 --:-- (0%)0
