I'd say do all 3. Start by looking at their online application procedures and doing whatever's needed. Then call them just before you get home, maybe the week beforehand, and ask when would be a good time to go in? Go in looking smart, if it's office work they'll probably have aptitude tests. Thanks again
One last question - is my best option to physically go into their office? Or give them a call? Or join their agency online?Signature removed for peace of mind0 -
Just wanted to add, when I was a uni student and temped over the summer, we had to go and register NOW. If we went in any later, they'd say thanks but no thanks as their books were full for students.
Not sure if it's the same now but it might be worth double checking.Dealing with my debts!Currently overpaying Virgin cc -balance Jan 2010 @ 1985.65Now @ 703.63

Physically go into their office and meet someone so they can put a face to your name. Then call them repeatedly until you get something.
If you do it all online, you're not going to have any personal contact with a recruitment consultant. If there's no personal contact - they're not going to bear you in mind for assignments coming in.0 -
hi, i worked in newcastle in the summer when i was a student. i got the job through the agency kelly services and worked for the inland revenue completing tax returns, got about £200 a week which was obviously tax free coz i was a student yay. check out their website, they have an office next to northumberland street in newcastle.

It was NOT tax free because you were a student. It was tax free because your income did not exceed your personal allowance.hi, i worked in newcastle in the summer when i was a student. i got the job through the agency kelly services and worked for the inland revenue completing tax returns, got about £200 a week which was obviously tax free coz i was a student yay. check out their website, they have an office next to northumberland street in newcastle.
If you are a student only working during vacations, there is a form you can complete to say that that's what you're doing, and that you don't expect your income to exceed your personal allowance (£5430 in the current tax year, I believe).
One day we will knock on the head the myth that students don't have to pay tax because they're students ...
