Apex Credit/BCW Group Need advice?

Ok
I sent letter off to them offering a F&F settlement and they have just called and ive haggled them down to accepting a 40% F&F figure. What I have asked for is written confirmation of this from her (she is emailing it). I also however asked that she informs credit reference agencies that debt is fully satisfied. She said they don't do that, it will be passed back to Capital bank (car loan) who will do this. Anyone any experience of this? Im reluctant to ake this payment until I get what I ask for ;)
I'll make a wish, take a chance, make a change And breakaway. I'll take a risk, take a chance, make a change and breakaway ....

I also am being offered a 50% reduction on a 10k debt by Apex, I am now concerned that they are just taking as much as they can before passing the debt on. If they are stating full and final settlement of the debt surely that is binding.............
