activ kapital and moorcroft debt recovery

Hi,
i am new to this and have read a few of the posts relating to activ capital and other debt buying agencies. can anyone tell me if i have been paying off debts through the above wo companies for three years now, is it too late to ask for proof from them.
i have had to cancel my direct debits to them as something wierd is happening to my bank account and ofcourse they have contacted me to arrange new payment schemes.
I had noted that active kapital was due to finish 2 april 2008, but they called and said that was not the case and i still have an outstanding debt of £2000 that started in 2000, they took over the debt in 2005, i've been paying it since. it is much the same for moorcroft old credit card still 1500 on it, been paying it off for three years.
is there anything i can do?
thanks

Have a read through: Getting a copy of your credit agreement and account details
It's highly unlikely that they will have a copy of the original agreement.
If the debts were from 2000 (ish) then it's also quite likely that they won't be able to obtain a valid agreement from the original creditor either.Free/impartial debt advice: National Debtline | StepChange Debt Charity | Find your local CAB
